New to the game of Basketball?

Are you too old for Aussie Hoops?

Want to learn some skills and drills before joining a competition?

(Hoops Academy is not for players that are part of a Domestic Club)

Hoops Academy is a program designed to help inexperienced players learn the skills, rules, and concepts of the game, before being thrust into our Junior Domestic competition. Sometimes playing a game for the first time can be overwhelming. You need to learn the rules, terminology, and basics all why trying to compete and deal with the unwanted pressure that competition can sometimes bring.

Hoops Academy aims to prepare players for competition by giving them the basic skills needed to develop confidence in their ability to play and enjoy the game of basketball.

Hoops Academy is for players born between 2010 and 2014. It is a fun inclusive environment where players are encouraged to try their best without pressure.

The content and curriculum for the program is set by the WBA’s Coaching Coordinator and Women’s NBL1 Head Coach, Jesse Pence.

There are only 30 places per term so spots are limited!

2024 Term 2 Session Details:

Cost: $120 per person
Day: Wednesday
Start Date: Wednesday, 17th April 2024
End Date: Wednesday, 5th June 2024
Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm
Venue: Lake Joondalup Baptist College, Courts 1 and 2
Year of Birth: 2010 – 2014
