The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the signing of Hannah Duncan for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
Hannah is a talented Wolves junior who is currently playing for Southern Nazarene University in the NCAA Division 2 competition. The team boasts an impressive 23-1 record with Duncan contributing with her perimeter shooting, competitive energy, and defensive presence. The team looks to repeat on their success from last year, where they won the 2023 Great American Conference Championship.
At 6 feet tall, Hannah is a versatile player who can cover many positions on the court. Playing in her fourth year for the Wolves, fans can look forward to seeing Hannah bring her experience and tenacity to the new show court at HBF Arena!
Women’s Head coach Jesse Pence had this to say about signing Hannah:
“We have really enjoyed tracking Hannah’s progress at Southern Nazarene University this season. Her team is an impressive 21-1 and ranked inside the top 10 of all of NCAA Division II. She’s shooting above 38% from 3 this season, which makes us even more excited for her return to her home at the Wolves in 2024. Hannah has been playing tremendous defense and plays with a real energy and tenacity that always carries a high value in the eyes of our coaching staff.”
When Hannah was asked what she’s most looking forward to this season, she said:
“I’m super excited and grateful to be back in green this year. This club feels like home to me and I’m keen to get to play basketball with new teammates as well as being back alongside some of my previous teammates. I’m also excited to work with our new coach in Jesse and to develop from his knowledge of the game and hit the court with such a great team and in front of the best fans in the league! The atmosphere on game day at home is second-to-none and the family culture and professionalism of the club is a no brainer. I can’t wait to have a great season and to bring all I can to the Wolfpack in 2024.”
Hannah Duncan joins teammates Jorjah Smith, Emma Clarke, Laniesha Paddon, Ella Thornton-Elliott, Sarah Toeaina and Darien Huff for the 2024 NBL1 West season.
