Men’s Head coach David Morrell had this to say about signing Jeremy:

“We have undergone a wide search for our second import spot and had many discussions internally about how we wanted to finalize our roster. When Jeremy became an option, we felt like he was the perfect fit for us, and we are thrilled to now be able to get him on board. His versatility is elite – he was a DPOY candidate last year in the league and can effectively guard all 5 positions.

Offensively, he is a 6’8 power forward who can handle the ball and beat you with speed or power. He was the top efficiency scorer in the league inside 10 feet last year, at 79.8%. Second place was 4% below that. He does that every season because he finishes acrobatically with athleticism, or with power and strength through contact. But people forget that he was also 11th in the league in assists and shows top tier playmaking instincts.

He gives us size, he gives us power, and he makes us more skilled. On top of that, he’s a true professional that goes about his business the right way, everywhere he goes. He’s played in Israel, Sweeden, and Japan, to name a few of his stops, and everywhere he has been, he’s been well respected organization-wide, and he’s been a great teammate.

We are tremendously excited about the impact he can have on our ability to win games, but we are also excited about the impact he will have in our locker room with the culture, and within the wider community and around the club. Welcome to the Wolfpack Jeremy!”

Jeremy had this to say about signing with the Wolfpack:

“Joining the Joondalup Wolves isn’t just stepping onto the court; it’s embracing a family of passionate fans and strong club. Having played in the League last year, the Wolves stood out as a powerhouse team. As a player, fans can expect to see me giving 110% each game.

Our goal is not just the championship, but also team growth and unity. I’m thrilled to be a part of the team and I look forward to the journey ahead with the NBL1 Joondalup Wolves”.

Jeremy Combs joins teammates Gabe Chadinha, Jonathan Wade, Ethan Elliott, Ben Geel, Luca O’Brien, Caleb Davis, Christian Jurlina, CJ Turnage and Jordan Wellsteed for the Joondalup Wolves in the upcoming 2024 NBL1 West season!
