The Wanneroo Wolves are very pleased to announce the signing of 203cm 115kg American Big Man John Vaudreuil for the 2011 SBL season.

Head Coach Ben Ettridge “I’m Very excited about John Vaudreuil joining the team, I wanted a player that would join the Wolfpack and compliment what we had already developed, he is a perfect fit. John is familiar with the SBL so it shouldn’t take him too long to find his feet and having spent the last two months playing in Taiwan he will be in game shape and ready to go with the Wolfpack”

Vaudreuil is known to the SBL having played for the Goldfield Giants in season 2010 where he averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists per game.John Vaudreuil “I am excited about joining a very skilled squad for the 2011 season. Having played in the SBL last year, Wanneroo was the team I saw as being on the top. They had a great run at the end of the season and were a very difficult team to match-up against. The squad boasts talented guards and perimeter players along with an inside presence. I hope to contribute inside but also make the guys around me better players.

Having talked with Coach Ettridge I am excited to join a team that seems to be energized and excited to go out and compete on the basketball court. I look forward to hitting the floor with the players and to a successful upcoming 2011 season. I am also excited to be in Perth”Vaudreuil is currently in Taiwan playing for the Bank Of Taiwan where in the 16 games he has currently play has averaged 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists per game.Wanneroo SBL Director Matt Rushmere “When Ben Ettridge was appointed Head Coach of the Wolfpack in October, John Vaudreuil was his first choice as Import for the 2011 season, after lots of emails and paper work we are pleased we could get Ben his Man”.Vaudreuil should arrive in Perth towards the end of March after his current playing commitments have been for filled and should suit up for the Wolfpack in week 3 or 4 of the season subject to immigration clearances.
