Brad Robbins joins the Wolfpack
The Wanneroo Wolves are delighted to announce the signing of
Perth Wildcats Captain Brad Robbins for the remainder of the 2011 State
basketball season.
Brad Robbins is widely acknowledged as one of the toughest
and most experienced guards in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL).
Wanneroo Wolves men’s
team head coach Ben Ettridge; “We have
been given an amazing opportunity for the club to bring one of WA sports best
leaders into our group.
A player of Brad
Robbins ability and leadership compliments Greg Hire, Tony Pearman, Doug Gates
and Damian Matacz.
Brad's professionalism and personality make
him a genuine leader of men. He has been successful at every level he has
played at. We look forward to having Brad around our younger guys; we hope that
they can learn from him on and off the court about how to go about your preparation
to be an elite player.
Brad brings added defensive toughness to our
back court of Tony Pearman, Matt Schmechtig, Rhys Smyth and Seb Salinas who are
already, in many people’s eyes, a great defensive group.
We look forward to seeing what the rest of the
season holds for us, our team expectations do not change others outside of our
inner sanctum and around the league may change, and we will be unwavering in
the pursuit of our goals for season 2011".

culture that has be created and the direction the club is moving in is the
right one. We are very excited with what Brad will not only bring to our SBL
program but to the development of our juniors also."
Brad brings to the Wolfpack a wealth of basketball experience
accumulated over his 26 years.

Brad to fulfil his desire to play at the Wolfpack.

Brad will suit up this Saturday night 11th June,
when the Wolfpack take on the Rockingham Flames at the Joondalup Basketball
Stadium.
Women’s game tips off at 6pm and the men’s tip off at 8pm.
