Andrew Summerville | Chief Executive Officer

Andrew is a sports industry professional  possessing an Associate Diploma in Sports  Management from Martin Methodist College in  the United States. Andrew recently held the  role of Business Manager at the Werribee  Basketball Association. Under his leadership,  the Association was named the 2017  Basketball Victoria Association of the Year and the large, multi-million-dollar turnover club grew significantly under his management.

Andrew has a community-focused approach to building the culture and performance of the settings that he has led, working closely with a variety of stakeholders to grow operations whilst ensuring that the core service delivery of Basketball remains priority.

In a leadership role at the Sunbury Basketball Association, Andrew was able to grow participation and revenue substantially, developing new programs and Basketball offerings. His business acumen and entrepreneurial outlook to managing the game resulted in both Associations being recognised within the top 3 Aussie Hoops participation centres nationally during his tenure.


Ryan Thompson | General Manager Basketball Operations

Ryan is a 280 game SBL veteran, multi-time state Basketball representative and Life Member of the Geraldton Buccaneers Basketball Club. Ryan brings a sound understanding of and passion for basketball to the Association, focussed upon the strategic delivery and growth of the Associations existing programs and competitions, creating value for participants and coaches alike. 

Ryan brings a wide ranging skill-set to the role, holding a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Deakin University and having established a wealth of experience in his former position as the Sport and Recreation Club Development Officer with the City of Greater Geraldton. Ryan's strengths relate to strategic planning, governance, club marketing, grant funding, facility development, policy development and club administration.

Ryan is passionate about sport, and in particular, its ability to bind communities and develop young people. He follows almost all sports, with a particular interest in (and vast knowledge of) the NBA and the AFL.

Charles Nix | Basketball Operations Coordinator 

Charles, or affectionately known in Basketball circles as Nixy, is a welcome addition to our basketball operations team. With over 15 years coaching experience including academy, skill development, junior domestic, senior domestic, A-Grade, WABL, SBL & National League roles both as an assistant and head coach he is well in tuned to basketball in Western Australia. 

The 2017 MSBL Coach of the Year and current Wolfpack WSBL Head Coach has a proven record of both coach and player development as well as success on court. Before making the jump to full time basketball operations, Nixy owned his own travel business and spent a number of years in management roles.

Nixy’s strengths are rooted in communication and organisation with a strong desire to work with likeminded people with the drive to be the best they can be. He gains a lot of satisfaction working with players of all ages and coaches of all experience levels in mentoring and development roles, from our Aussie hoops to our top tier. The vision is to establish the best pathway for our coaches and athletes in Western Australia, with state of the art programs that match the world’s best standards. Creating a platform for our people to launch into successful lives not only in this amazing game but in all aspects of life.

Matt Rushmere | Member Engagement Coordinator 

Matt joined the Wolves staff in a full-time capacity after a decade long contribution as Board Director holding voluntary marketing and social media roles.

Matt is a big hoops fan, passionate about the game and it's growing profile. He led the revisioning and refinement of the Wolves brand, including the club's foray into social and digital media spaces, growth that has helped to establish the Wolfpack as a genuinely recognisable and leading brand across the Basketball landscape.

Matt's role will see him continue to lead the club's brand and marketing activities, as well as devising events and programs that will deliver member connectivity and create meaningful interactions.

Matt has been a Wolves fan since 1994 and a Wildcats member since 1999, and in this time has well and truly ridden the Basketball rollercoaster of emotions - but he wouldn't have it any other way!
